 We celebrate our ultimate Father, the Lord God of all, during this Father's Day Meeting.

The Love of God by Frederick M. Lehman  Copyright: Public Domain
 Verse 1
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

     Refrain:
     Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
     How measureless and strong!
     It shall forevermore endure--
     The saints' and angels' song.
 Verse 2
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God's love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam's race--
The saints' and angels' song.
 Verse 3
Could we with ink and ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Frederick Lehman tells us that verse 3 "had been found penciled on the wall of a patient's room in an insane asylum after he had been carried to his grave."  While it is only supposition that he was the one who adapted the Jewish author's poem to leave us these well-known lines, if the account is true, it shows in any case, that he highly esteemed the message.

The June Winter Park Aglow meeting, as usual during the month of June, will be in honor of Father's Day. Our guest speaker is a wonderful man with a great message for all who will attend; men, women, and teens.
We will meet in Room 24 at 9:30 A.M. at Aloma United Methodist Church: located at 3045 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, Florida.
Refreshments will be served, and a door prize given to those who come by 9:45 A.M.

No reservations or fee is required, although an offering will be taken during the meeting.  We meet the 2nd. Saturday of every month, and our speakers are always wonderful in sharing the message God has given them for a particular meeting.
