Resurrection Day Is Coming, Are You Ready?

Spring House Cleansing
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. (Phillippians 4:8)
There is a children's song that goes something like this: Be careful little hands what you do. Be careful little feet where you go. Be careful little mouth what you say. I am adding: Be careful little mind what you think, for the Saviour up above is looking down with love, so be careful little mind what you think.
To keep our body healthy, we must be careful what we put into it, and the same thing goes for our minds. Some Christians seem to concentrate on the negative and are pessimistic about everything. Others fail to place God's Word in their thoughts, and choose to adopt human reasoning.
What we allow our minds to dwell on will be revealed in the way we live. If we only focus on the negative, we will inevitably be a very negative person, but if we fill our minds with thoughts of Christ, we will become Christlike. We are to be anchored in the Hope of the Lord. Doubt and fear have no place in a Christian's life.
We have a choice. Colossians 3:2 tells us to set our minds on things above, not on things of the earth. In everything we do we should strive to bring glory to God. We need to have the mind of Christ and hear what the Holy Spirit is telling us.
Prayer: Lord, open our eyes, open our ears to listen to the Holy Spirit's counsel, and open our hearts to understand what the He is saying. "Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus." Until He comes, Shalom. May God's peace surround you this day and give you the victory in every circumstance. May the prayer that you have waited for so long receive an answer, and may God's answer be "Yes, and Amen."
