This statue of Jesus should speak volumes to everyone who gazes upon it. Those who have not heard of Him may wonder just who this monument stands for. May this curiosity lead to a seeking of more information about this Jesus.
The word lifted can mean exalted. As we exalt the name of Jesus, the promise is that people will be drawn to him. So many times, His name is used as a curse word from people who do not realize just whose name they are using. God will forgive them for this sin, but not for blaspheming the works of the Holy Spirit.
I pray today, that this monument of Jesus will lead many to the Lord. May the athletes at the Olympics come away with more than medals, but with Salvation by the real Jesus Christ in their hearts and lives. Father, convict them of sin and unrighteousness and draw them by your Holy Spirit into your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, I pray.
Winter Park Aglow Community Light House meets the 2nd. Saturday of each month at Aloma U. Methodist Church which is located at 3045 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, Florida, in Room 24. We start the meeting at 9:30 a.m. and close around noon. We collect nonperishable food for the needy. Refreshments are always offered, and there is no cost for attending. An offering will be taken. Prayer will be extended for anyone desiring it.
