JESUS AND DISCIPLES ON THE STORMY SEA |
Every day as we turn on the news, we wonder how many people have been killed today. These are truly turbulent times. Our hope is that the Lord Jesus will return, and take us out of the violent storms that are happening all around us.
Here is a quote from Bonnie Jones, Pineville, NC, taken from her prophecy, A Word for 2017, taken From Steve Shultz, Founder and Publisher of The Elijah List and Breaking Christian News. http://www.elijahlist.com
...I believe the Lord is showing me that all ministries have been given equal opportunity to, "Follow Me." And in faith they began to cross the calm water of the Holy Spirit. However, when things got tough and it began to storm those of little faith turned back to shore. It was easier to return to past failures than go beyond the veil to see what the Holy Spirit had awaiting them. They gave up hope and turned back to their safety zone.
I do not relish looking forward to harrowing times. We have enough problems in our daily lives without contemplating more difficulties in the ministry that God has called us to. But with Jesus in our boat calming the waters, we will overcome the seemingly insurmountable odds that we are facing today, and surely will face in the future.
We need to focus on the words of Jesus for us, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 KJV
REMEMBER, JESUS CALMED THE RAGING SEA, AND THEY ARRIVED SAFELY ASHORE.
