THE TALEH - THE LAMB OF COVERING

THE LAMB: A THEME IN GOD'S WORD.

In the Book of Revelation, the lamb is the only one that is worthy to open the scroll, the only one able to loose the seals.
The lamb was used at the Feast of Passover as a sacrifice for the firstborn of every house. It had to be without spot or blemish and innocent of all wrongdoing. The nation of Israel was saved by the lamb's blood sprinkled on the doorposts of each dwelling.
The lamb is symbolic of our Lord Jesus Christ who was given as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind.  As we make preparation for celebrating the Passover Season, it is good to remember what Christ did for us.
God came down as an act of love to save a reprobate world; not as He did in the Book of Genesis when He sent the flood of Noah to destroy the creation at that time.  He is love. He is a God of love and forgiveness.  Although we are not worthy as John said, to unleash His sandals, He has compassion on us.
The world we live in is just as evil as back in the time of Genesis, but God said He would not destroy it by a flood again.  He is not a man that He should lie.
Jesus stands at the door of our hearts asking to gain entrance to our lives.  We must reach out to others and let them know that this salvation is available today, just as it was back when the lamb was offered as a sin covering for all the people who lived, and those who are alive now. We must let the Holy Spirit show us who to be a witness to.
I pray that God will soften our hearts so that we can hear our Lord's voice. Jesus said that Greater things we would do than He did, so let us go about doing them.    Amen
